Video Conferencing between SR Anggerek Desa and Rulang Primary School Singapore

This video conferencing is taken on wednesday 15/4/2009. it was the day of my Teaching Practice. So i Take a chance to observe and learn how they manage the video conferencing. They use Skype application to connect to Singapore. the students from both country will discuss about the traditional food of their own country.

From our country, the students introduce Ambuyat as one of the traditional food in Brunei. He explain how it was made and how to eat Ambuyat. the students also make a demonstration on how to eat Ambuyat. While from Singapore, they had divided into 3 different culture which is malay, chinese and india. they represent different kind of food from three different culture.

One of the video was the presentation from the visitor in Rulang Primary School which is the group of teachers from Philippines. They also take part in the video conferencing. They had shows the traditional costume of the Phillipines.

For Year 3A, the students learn how to edit the existing composition by inserting images from clipart or search graphic from the internet since th internet connection is already been set up in the computer lab.

For Year 2B, the students learn the basic feature of Microsoft Words. This is the stage of familiarization of MS Words. but some of the students already know and use the MS Words.

The topic is: Computer Components 

Year: 2

The objective of the activity is that the student be able to identify the computer components and spell it correctly. the student be able to learn the feature on the system unit. the student will recognize the different type of system unit casing and the different function on the keyboard.

TP 8/4/09

For Year 3A, the day lesson is how to make a page set up. I had show them a composition and we do it altogether. I had show them the use of all the feature on the window application. For eaxample the use of the stndard toolbar, the ruler guide and the caption button.

For Year 2B, i continue the last week lesson on the window interface. This time they need to look on their own computer and identify the feature of window interface.
